Simple Pleasures
I love that my children enjoy and get excited about the simple things in life.
Playing with fabric that mommy has no clue what she is going to make with it.
*Everyone was outside playing except Sarah and I. She was suppose to be taking a nap. Mary came in from outside to get a basket and some string along with some paper and a pencil. Ok. Sarah saw her, got up as quickly as she could to follow Mary. Mary had gathered her supplies and turned to leave the office and there was Sarah. She looks up at Mary and then wraps her arms around Mary’s legs giving her a big Sarah Bear Hugh while giggling. Mary’s face lit up with delight. Simple pleasures.
Reading about moths, spiders and all the creep crawly things he has to kill to protect the ladies.
*This past weekend Caleb went hunting for the first time. He had a great time in the freezing cold with his daddy looking for deer. No deer was harmed in the making of this memory.
New snowman pjs from Nana. Apparently she has new balancing power in these pjs!
*Lydia is a great big sister. Hannah is going through a time of having bad dreams. She now sleeps in Lydia’s bed. A big sister can make you feel safe.
What simple pleasures do you enjoy?

Oh… my boys went hunting with Grandpa two times last week. They LOVED it… did they get any pheasants? Nope — but they talked and talked and talked about it anyway. I’m so glad they got to create that memory.
The simple things? I got 3 new nativity scenes this year. All toys. I set them up in 3 different places. They are getting played with so much! I love it.
My kids love playing with their siblings. Danielle is sort of couch or floor ridden.
I over heard Wayne saying, “Get up — I want to play with you.” He misses her running around with him.
I’m so blessed to have children that love each other more than toys or electronic games.
Thanks for asking! Ü
Great post Sharon!
