Homeschooling with Toddlers?
Here’s a handy little activity to keep the hands busy.

My partners in crime love to see this box come out. I took some pasta, a little food coloring, a little rubbing alcohol…and voila`, we have happiness. Contentment. Busy hands. Folks, we have time to get through math.

Hannah (3) and Sarah (21mths) were both content to play for 30 min at least. I can’t remember exactly how long they played. Pouring, scooping, dumping and laughing.

Some of us were too intent on playing to care about the camera. I will note that Sarah (21mths) does not have an issue with putting things in her mouth. And she is right beside where I sit at the table. They also quickly learn to stay on the blanket with the pasta.

Sarah, however, thinks the camera is just to highlight her bruises. Sigh. She is a daredevil. But a cute one.

Oh I love this idea! I’m absolutely trying this! And yes, she is a cutie, and the bruises just help her personality shine through!
This has been on my to-do list for a few weeks. Luthy loves to play with her plain rigatoni and some pipe cleaners, but I’m thinking she’d go NUTS about a big box of colored pasta!
