The Handyman and his Sidekick
We have a built in entertainment center in our living room. We use it to store games and toys. Sometimes, the kiddos will open the bottom cabinet, grab a toy and then use the door to “help them up”. I continually reminded them that the door cannot bear their weight. It would break eventually if they continued to hang on the door.
Some things we just have to learn the hard way, yes?
All of the kiddos had trouble remembering not to put weight on the door. The hinge started to get a bit loose. They tried really hard to remember. One day the door was left opened, someone tripped and well, the door came unhinged. Sort of. The top hinge broke and the bottom hinge was hanging on.
Our resident handyman was happy to help.

He had very capable help. She is holding the door for him as he was using his head to brace it.

Intent on his task. The boy has skills.

Holding the door was intense work. A good stretch every now and then is necessary.

Another job successfully completed by the Handyman and his Sidekick.

Relieved to see he has on proper attire for the job!
Oh, my SIDES, Rachel!
That’s precious, Sharon! ?
How cute!! What is their hourly rate? I have a few odd jobs that would be perfect for such a handy pair.
