Requesting Books

I spend hours searching quality literature for my children. Some books are for the simple enjoyment of a good story and others are to enlighten them on various topics. Why do I spend that time? This is an easy question. I love to read. Since childhood I have enjoyed nothing more than finding a quiet spot and curling up with a good book. My desire when I had children was that my children would love to read as well. I read aloud from infancy on up. I still read aloud to my 11 year old. Wonderful memories and stories share. All of my children constantly have a book in their hands. Even the 2 year old. I love it!

However, I no longer make finding a good book for ME a priority. This, my friends, must change!

I need your help! If you know of a great must read book, share it with me! I’m going to start a list and enjoy some good reads over the next several months. I would love fiction, biographies, books on family, motherhood, marriage. Anything! Expand my horizons. Make me think.

I’m waiting…..

http://www.5minutesforbooks.com is where I’m getting all my recent items for my wishlist on paperback swap. LOL

I posted a list of books in a blog post that I’m going to try to get through. We’ll see. It’s February and I haven’t finished the 2 I started. LOL

For fiction, try looking at the 9-12 grade level on the 1000 good books list, for other stuff you can pull a good list off of the lists that Melissa, Tawna and I posted. :-)
