She has a point…
This morning Mary walked out of the bathroom after getting dressed. I glanced in her direction and a question came to mind.
So I asked it. “Mary, you do realize that your shirt in no way matches your dress (pinafore/jumper) right?
(She was wearing a pink t-shirt that says “I love horses” and has darker pink horses all over it. And a jumper that is a cream background with deep blue stripes and tiny red apples. Naturally worn with pink flip flops with yellow decorations.)
Mary’s response, with no hesitation, “We aren’t going anywhere today, right?”
Excellent point, my girl. Excellent point. Rock on.
And before you ask, no, I don’t have a picture. It happens.
Not to mention that the horses wouldn’t need to be fed, as the apples on the jumper would provide them their nourishment. I think it was wonderful planning. It can be such a schedule stopper to have to stop and feed your shirt … though some of us do it on accident at every meal.
