Happy Monday and Menu Plan for the Week!

My lovely plan of setting up a menu plan for the whole month of January didn’t quite work out as I thought. Getting hit with a cold last Monday knocked me off my feet for a day or two. Then I realized that it was “stock the freezer” time. This means that I need to look for some great sales on meat.

For now, I’m going to go week by week. Once we hit February, I think I’ll aim for at least two weeks of meals planned. Here is what we have to look forward to this week:

Monday:

Breakfast: Baked Oatmeal

Lunch: Baked potatoes and salad

Dinner – Buttered pasta w/ sauce and fruit

Tuesday:

Breakfast: Eggs and muffins

Lunch: Sandwiches on homemade bread, pretzels, fruit

Dinner: Chili w/ rice and cornbread

Wednesday:

Breakfast: Granola & yogurt

Lunch: Tortilla roll ups, carrots

Dinner: Beef stew, salad, homemade rolls

Thursday:

Breakfast: Eggs and toast

Lunch: Personal Pizzas

Dinner: Taco Ring, Salad, Chips w/ salsa

Friday:

Breakfast: Grits and toast

Lunch: Sandwiches, pretzels, fruit

Dinner: Sloppy joes, homemade buns, home fries and ice cream! Happy Friday!

Saturday:

Breakfast: Daddy’s Special

Lunch: Homemade Soup, salad, and fresh bread

Dinner: Leftovers!!

Sunday:

Breakfast: Eggs and Cinnamon Bread

Lunch: Pizza Casserole (fellowship meal at church)

Dinner: Crunchings and Munchings
