I am always on the look out for excellent selections in the children’s literature. So many good books!
The View From Saturday – E.L. Konigsburg
Absolutely Truly – Heather Vogel Frederick
Three Times Lucky – Sheila Turnage
The Ghosts of Tupelo Landing – Sheila Turnage
The Odds of Getting Even – Sheila Turnage
(The Mo and Dale book by Sheila Turnage have been such great reads. Book 4 is in progress!)
Dear Hank Williams – Kimberly Willis Holt
Rain Reign – Ann M. Martin
Crenshaw – Katherine Applegate – I didn’t expect to like Crenshaw. However, it is one of my favorites from this year’s reading. She handled the topic of homelessness and children very well.
Nooks & Crannies – Jessica Lawson
Counting by 7’s – Holly Sloan – This is likely my top pick in Children’s Lit. Willow’s story broke my heart. However, the beauty of this story is in hope and joy. A must read most definitely.
