I have stated many times before that we are a game loving family. As a mom, I love when I find a game that includes as many of our children as possible. This is not an easy task! Last year we had the opportunity to review Wits and Wagers Family from NorthStar Games. It was a huge hit as some of our youngest family members could play and win!

When we had the opportunity to review Say Anything Family from NorthStar Games, we were thrilled! Once again NorthStar has created a game that the “family” truly can play and enjoy!

Say Anything Family is for ages 8+ and allows for 3-6 players but you can use teams if you have more people. ( My almost 2 year old teamed up with my 11 year old and they were quite the competition. ) Game play is easy to learn and set up. In under 5 minutes you can be enjoying this game. It is that simple!

Here’s the rundown of game play for Say Anything Family:

*Each player has a dry erase board, dry erase marker and two tokens; all color coded.

*One player is the judge during the “round”. Judge pulls a card, selects a question and reads it aloud.

*The other players write down their answer and place their cards down in front of the judge.

*The judge, using the handy dandy Select-O-Matic 6000, marks the color of the answer she liked best, places it face down on the table and waits.

*Players now place their tokens on the answer they think the judge selected. You can select your own answer or not. Both tokens can be played on separate answers or the same one.

*The judge reveals her selection and points are awarded. No one can receive more than 3 points at a time. You earn points by having your answer selected and by choosing the judge’s choice. My six year old kept score easily.

*The next player becomes the judge. Play continues until each player has been the judge twice, points are tallied and the winner is announced. (That would be me. Thank you.)

Game play is full of laughter over creative answers. Not much time is needed for the game so if you need a quick game to play this is an excellent choice! Or if you are like my family, you can just play it over and over.

Another feature I liked was that each card has 3 questions and the judge picks the one she wants to ask. This was great when a question might have been unfamiliar to the judge or a topic not readily discussed in the family. We do not watch television so any questions dealing with celebrities and such could just be skipped over.

Say Anything Family would make the perfect gift for a game loving family. Toss in some snacks and beverages and let the family game night fun begin!!

Say Anything Family can be purchased at various retail stores such as Target, Borders and even online at Amazon.com for as little as $13.85!!

Make sure you head over to the Crew and see what other families thought of Say Anything Family!!

One of the advantages of a “large” family is that you always have a willing volunteer for any task. Hmm, it might be better to say that you have many opportunities for delegation. One task that I do not delegate, unless it is an emergency situation, is diaper duty. Diapers are mom’s responsibility. I enjoy diaper duty. I know it’s weird. But in the craziness of the day, I can take Mr. Cuteness into my room and have a quiet moment to tickle his toes and talk to him. We share lots of smiles and great conversation. Mr. Cuteness loves to chat.

However, someone in the house is on to my secret. She totally ignores the icky, wet diapers and wants to steal a moment with Mr. Cuteness, too. She feels that he needs to be entertained while I change his diapers.

Please note the nose suction device. Mr. Cuteness was suffering from a stuffy nose. I did not let Hannah help with that task.

Nana’s leftovers are my children’s special treats. Yeah Nana!

Today my mom, Nana, dropped by for a short visit to see her precious grandchildren. They were so excited to see her. We hadn’t seen her since Christmas. As always Nana came with all kinds of goodies. The one that got squeals of delight was the boxes of Krispy Kreme donughnuts. Oh. My. They were so good. Um, let me focus. Sorry. Of course there was a bit of Valentine candy and Twizzlers. The usual apples, oranges and bananas because my kiddos love fruit.

And then it was the leftovers, the outcasts, and the food that Nana bought and discovered she didn’t like or didn’t like her, lol. And this, my friend, delights my children.

What was today’s unexpected treasure?

Yep. Kashi. Mary was the first to take a bite. She loves it. My little I’ll- take- fruit –over- candy –can-only –eat-one- doughnut kiddo. Caleb loves it, too. I’m guessing they will be sharing this for breakfast tomorrow. Three cheers for Nana!!!!

Thankfully they agreed it was a lot like our granola so they won’t be asking me to buy a $5 box of cereal.

This post is part of the Steady Mom’s 30-minute Blog Challenge. This was a 16-minute blog post.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!

May you take time today to reflect on all the wonderful blessings that the Lord has showered upon us all!!!

We are enjoying beautiful weather in the 70s I believe. The kiddos have had a great time outside creating a “house” with the leaves and pinestraw. Simple pleasures! The door is open and I can enjoy the fresh air as I get our dinner prepared (and the birthday cookie!).

What am I thankful for this year?

* A husband who works so hard for his family and never complains.
*A husband who is a wonderful daddy.
*A husband who makes me laugh; daily.
*Rebekah and the joy she brings me.
*Rebekah and how helpful she is without me saying a word.
*Mary and her imagination that amazes me still.
*Mary and her sweet spirit that cares so deeply
*Caleb and his wonderful hugs and smiles.
*Caleb and his boyness.
*Lydia and her wild spirit.
*Lydia and that she still enjoys a good cuddle.
*Hannah and her goofiness.
*Hannah and her sweet, precious hugs.
*Joshua and that this year I could think of him with a smile and happy tears.
*I’m thankful for a wonderful house and home the Lord has given me.
*For all the simple daily things we rarely thing about.
*For far away friends whom I pray one day will be closer.
*Treasured friends who share my joy and pain.
*For a beautiful tree in the front yard that has been a pleasure to watch change with the season.
*For knitting needles and wool yarn.
*A wonderful blessing named Sarah that I will soon get to hold.
*For children who are just as excited as I am to hold Sarah.
*For children who enjoy the simple things and can find fun at every turn.

There is so much more I could list. But I have a birthday cookie to go decorate. Yummy! Enjoy your day and make sure to have a piece of chocolate.

Ok, technically it was a pleasure trip. We were overdue for a Rebel fix. And what a blessing it was!!! Beautiful weather, lots of laughs and great friends. The only bad part was saying good-bye!

I forgot my camera charger, so I lived in fear of my camera dying on me at any moment. What does this mean? That I was not as picture happy as normal. I had to restrain myself. Most of the pictures are from Saturday – our educational field trip to the Agricultural Museum. Great fun!!!

(**Please note that I had issues with Photobucket so they are not in a sensible order. Ugh! So just play along and let’s pretend they are.)

A special Sunday treat! Homemade ice-cream. Yum! Caleb was dying to help out and Mr. Rebel was more than willing to have an extra hand or two. I think Caleb was more excited about making it than eating it. A great shot of Mr. Rebel, I think!

And funny things happen in DE. A deer spotting in the midst of making ice-cream. Hmmm, interesting……

Monday morning a bit of cooking needed to be done before the Tribe headed out.

At the Agri Museum…..The question pondered: Who will jump in first a Rebel or a Tribe Member???

An example of how my hubby is wrapped around all the girlie fingers in the Tribe household:

Cute, isnt’ it? I want to frame it. Precious.

Isn’t she beautiful? I think so. And creative. Unrestrained creativity. Want to see? Keep scrolling…..

Educational pursuits abound – a little music lesson on a Sunday evening

Remember Miss Beautiful Unrestrained Creativity? Here she is cleaning up her lastest masterpiece. (Yes, she is 7 and still occasionally writes on non-writing surfaces.)

Rebel Queen teaching the servants how to do her laundry correctly next time….

Child containment area a.k.a An Enclosed Garden. We had to force them to leave. They loved it!

Practicing the buddy system…. they were all so impressed with the outhouses. Some were 3 seaters!

Admission at the agri museum. Super nice lady figured out the cheapest way for our group of 14 to get in!!!

Mary on the Prairie…not quite. But this house was great! Too dark on the inside to get good pictures. I think my girls could have played house for hours!

I even let my kiddos play with mud…Ok it was contained mud but they didn’t care!

Bekah & Maggie helping gather eggs. This one cracks me up.

We threw them in a pit for a while…..

There was an old one room schoolhouse. Can we say all my girls’ Little House dreams come true? Most of my pics did not turn out great. But this was a good shot of Caleb.

I think the stress got to TribeDaddy and he tried to bite the child’s head off!!!!!

Something else that should be noted. Queen Rebel had her kiddos all color coordinated. Just so happened that I packed a navy blue polo shirt for Caleb. He blended in so well with the Rebels!!

Also, please note, that for some unknown reason no pictures with the Bird Man turned out!! Sorry,J!!!!! But you can check him out here!
