Last year we had the opportunity to review Pyramath cards from I See Cards. This year we jumped at the chance to give their Fractazmic game a try. We have another enjoyable math card game that makes learning fun!

Fractazmic is a card game that can be played by 2-4 children 1st – 8th grades. The wide age range makes it a card game the whole family can play together. Game play covers numbers, fractions and measurement. The concept is simple; players work at gathering a set of cards that make one whole. There are three different colored cards: Sixteenth/red, twelfths/blue and tenths/green.

At first glance, I was doubtful that my youngest could effectively play. However, the Fractazmic cards have clear, colorful pictures that allow even the youngest player to “count” up to a whole.

Not only is Fractazmic a great, fun learning game, it has a great price! You can purchase Fractazmic for only $6.95. This provides you with a deck of 60 cards, clearly numbered with reinforcing graphics of the fraction represented.

You can also play an online version for Free and have the chance to win a deck of Fractazmic cards. What an easy way to add some fun to learning!

Other Crew members played Fractazmic as well; please stop by and see what others had to say!

I am very blessed in that I love the math curriculum that I use with 5 of my children. I know that making the decision on how to teach math can be an overwhelming one with so many options and then meeting the needs of the children and the mom! So when the chance to review Math Mammoth came up, I wasn’t confident that this would be a good review product for our family.

However, Math Mammoth provides more than just the standard, grade level options for math. Math Mammoth also provides worktext for specific concepts that your child may need to review, have some extra practice or wasn’t covered thoroughly in your math curriculum. After discussing the options with Maria Miller I was sent three different worktext to use for my older learners.

The concepts we used were:

All three of these texts are from the Math Mammoth Blue Series. The Blue Series offers explanations of concepts along with plenty of varied problems. Each book has a focus ranging from addition, money, place value, rations, percents and more. Whether your child is in Grade 1 or Grade 7, there is probably a Blue Series that covers the concept your child may need extra focus on! You can go *here* to see a complete list of what is offered in the Blue Series and find out more information about each one.

Another great feature about the Blue Series texts that we used it that you can pick and choose which sections your child needs. My daughter who needed some extra work on orders of operation used the book for just a couple of weeks hitting some of her weak areas and she was fine and showed improvement in remembering the orders of operation.

Another daughter used the Percent text. We are not using it on a strict schedule. Every now and then, I give her a couple of pages just to keep working with percents fresh in her mind. It has been a flexible and easy to use program that has been an asset to our current math program.

I think it can also be helpful if you are transitioning a student from public/private school to home to make sure they are at the appropriate place for the math curriculum you have chosen. Or if you don’t homeschool, but you know of your child’s weak areas in math, you can easily take Math Mammoth and let it help your child catch up on school breaks and summer vacation.

Math Mammoth Blue Series is also affordable! As a download the prices range from $2 – $7 per book. An excellent price that allows me to print whenever I need it without printing the sections I don’t need. If you prefer a hard copy or printing your own is burdensome, hard copies are available as well.

Maybe you are looking for a full curriculum or the Blue Series doesn’t appear to meet the math needs you have. Please make sure you take a look around Math Mammoth. There are four series to choose from!

Blue Series - Worktexts by Topic

Light Blue Series – Full Curriculum for Grades 1-6

Golden Series – Worksheets by Grade

Green Series - Worksheets by Topic

They also have Make it Real Learning workbooks that cover real life math.

It might also be helpful to check out the FAQs, Free Stuff, and Placement.

We are so glad we were able to utilize the Blue Series and get the extra focus we needed! Please make sure you swing over to the Crew. Crew members were given different products from Math Mammoth to review based on their individual needs. Check out what they are saying about other Math Mammoth products!

AIMS, a non-profit foundation dedicated to helping students, provided the opportunity to review one of their products. After much time wavering between my younger students and my older students, I went with Solve It! 3rd – Problem Solving Strategies.

Solve It 3rd is a hands on activity book that helps promotes problem solving skills that can often be lacking in math programs. Designed for third grade, it can easily be used for a grade or two higher if you have a child who needs some fine tuning in this area. In this 240 page book, 29 activities provide opportunity to build your child’s problem solving skills. With these activities your child will: use manipulatives, draw out problems, use a number sentence, work backwards, use logical thinking, organize information and more.

The book provides plenty of information for the teacher/parent to guide the student through the activity; explaining the strategy and the goal of the exercise. A CD of printables is included for copying ease. A wonderful feature of this product is that you are allowed to make up to 200 copies of each activity. For a family with multiple students, you can truly see the value in this product!

One note about Solve It!, some activities are designed with the group classroom setting in mind. We could easily work around this by pulling in older children to assist or by re-working the activity a bit. Not a major issue but one to be prepared for so you can practice your own problem solving skills in finding a solution! Activities could be done as a “fun break” to the normal school day, an extra rainy day activity or a weekly math skill building session. Although we do not use the “workbox” model in our home, for those families who do, Solve It seems a perfect resource to fill up your child’s weekly math box.

Solve It! 3rd – Problem Solving Strategies can be purchased for $24.95.

Want to see samples? Just click here and AIMS provides a variety of samples from their products that you can try out. Please take a look around! Even if you are not in need of 3rd grade math supplements, they have much to offer for other grade levels and in science.

You can also request a free catalog or download one to your computer.

Other crew members reviewed a variety of AIMS products, so make sure you swing on by and see what other are saying about Solve It 3rd and more!!

As a member of TOS Review Crew, we recently had the opportunity to utilize Time 4 Learning for a month in our homeschool. Time 4 Learning is an online home education resource that can be used as a complete curriculum, a supplement to round out or enhance what you currently use or as an after-school resource.

Time 4 Learning is for grades PreK to Middle School. Overviews for each level can be seen here. As the parent, you can select the grade level that best meets the need of your student(s). If your child is more advanced in one subject and a bit behind in another, that is not an issue with Time 4 Learning. When registering your child, you can specify which grade is needed for different areas of learning.

The lessons are interactive for the child and use various forms of media to teach the child. Any learning style could benefit from Time 4 Learning and you have the added benefit of building computer skills.

One excellent feature of Time 4 Learning is the Parent’s Report. With a quick click of the button, I can see where my child worked, how much time he spent on an activity and how he did. Very thorough report that makes tracking multiple students a breeze.

As a “reward” for completed lessons, the child is allowed to go to the Playground and play various games. The parent is able to set limits on how long the child has access to the Playground. For example, I could set it so my child had to do 20 minutes of lessons to earn 15 minutes of Playground. After that 15 minutes, he would not be allowed in the Playground until more lessons were completed. I love have the ability to control the play time and set a personal standard based on individual needs for lesson time. While personally I don’t treat my children to a reward for completed required work, I know that for some children that extra motivation may be needed.

If you are interested in seeing Time 4 Learning in action, you can go here to view Lesson Demos.

How did Time 4 Learning work for our family? I will admit that I am not a big fan of online programs such as Time 4 Learning. For our family, we prefer that the bulk of learning come from the parents and not a computer screen. I wasn’t impressed with the presentation of the material; especially in the middle school grades. I felt that it was childish as times and pushed to far to be entertaining and not educational. It almost felt dumbed down to a point. What was presented to my daughter for 7th grade seemed to be more appropriate for my 4th grader.

I was a bit surprised at the thoughts of my children. 3 of the 4 were not really engaged with the program. They didn’t mind using Time 4 Learning but they weren’t really interested in it after the first week or so. My 7th grader considered Time 4 Learning “the great big bore”. Her wording. She felt the presentation of her material was boring, childish and not challenging at all. The only feature she found helpful was the writing portion of language arts.

As I have stated before we are not a “media intense” family. While my children love time on the computer, it isn’t where they want to spend a bulk of their learning and not how they prefer to learn. Please take time to view Time 4 Learning and the demos to see if it is a good fit for your family!

Time 4 Learning membership is $19.95 per month for the first child; $14.95 for each additional child. Time 4 Learning is completely online based so there are no cds or downloads needed.

Mastering basic math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) are crucial to success in higher math. If children have quick recall of these basic facts, higher level equations and formulas are easier to tackle.

Mad Dog Math is a math drill system that can help your child attain mastery in just 10 minutes a day. It can work successfully as a supplement to any math curriculum you use.

Mad Dog Math was created by Julie Kotoff, who has been and educator for 30 years. While working as a 3rd grade teacher she developed Mad Dog Math and now you can utilize this tool in your home.

Mad Dog Math takes the basic math facts and breaks them down into small sections based on “fact families”. A child starts with the easiest facts and progresses through the drills attaining mastery and confidence. Mad Dog Math is targeted for grades K-5th but can be used for a higher level student who hasn’t attained mastery of the facts.

How Does Mad Dog Math Work?

Using Mad Dog Math is simple! Your child signs in and “Ruff the dog” will keep track of his progress. You can choose which level for your child to begin; there are three levels. Each drill is 20 problems. If your child gets at least 18 correct in 2 minutes they can move on to another fact family. When he has passed all the drills for the fact family, he will receive a Student Club Award (sticker). If your child misses more than 2 problems, they can click “fetch” and get new problems for that fact family.

Once your child has completed the drills in 2 minutes, he can try to complete the drills in 1 minute. Accomplishing this gains him another Student Club Award. Then he can attempt to complete the drill in 30 seconds which will make him “Top Dog”. Of course once you are “Top Dog” you are ready for the challenge drill to show complete mastery of the drill!

At any time the parent/teacher can sign in with the child’s name and click on the “Progress” bone to see how the child is doing and what fact families they have mastered. Mad Dog Math is an independent drill program and gives immediate feedback to the child. Math Drills couldn’t get any easier!

What is the Cost of Mad Dog Math?

For my review, I utilized the Mad Dog Math Download version. There are three purchasing options for this program.

1 – A One Year License is $19.99

2- A Two Year License is $29.99

3- A Perpetual License is $39.99

All depending on the number of your students, any of the above could be an excellent option. If you are a large homeschooling family, the perpetual license might be right for you!

The download version is Windows based.

Our Thoughts on Mad Dog Math

Mad Dog Math is simple straight forward math drill program. No frills, bells and whistles to distract your child. It makes completing drills simple and effective. One of my daughters had a bit of difficulty due to having to look at the keyboard to find the number. Being familiar with the number key pad would have helped tremendously with the time delay it created for her.

I was surprised by the reaction of my 5th grader. As soon as we downloaded Mad Dog Math, she was on and completing the drills. However, she came up to me later and said she would prefer to just do the drills on paper. She thought it was easier to do that set up on paper than on the computer.

If you use a math curriculum that does not provide drills built into the program, I think Mad Dog Math is worth checking out. Especially if you have a few children needing to do drills, this makes it easy to get them accomplished and to track progress. Only 10 minutes a day! No copies. No checking. A valuable resource, indeed.

Please swing by the Crew and see what others are saying about Mad Dog Math!

Big IQ Kids is an online learning program for grades K-5 that aids the child in developing and mastering learning skills in four areas: math, spelling, vocabulary and US Geography. For the past several weeks, two of my children have utilized the premium version of this program for review.

How Big IQ Kids Works:

Using Big IQ Kids is simple and quick. You sign up your child (children) with a username and password. Then the learning can begin. Each day your child signs in to Big IQ Kids and does one lesson from each skill area. Each lesson takes about 10-15 minutes. After they complete each lesson, they win game coins. The game coins can then be used to play a variety of games.

As a parent or teacher you can customize the learning based on your child’s needs. For math, you can select the math function (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division), the degree of difficulty and whether you want all or one area focused on. If your child is learning multiplication facts for 2′s and 3′ you can select to just work on those numbers.

The spelling program is customizable as well. Big IQ Kids have preset spelling lists for grades K-8. However, if you use your own spelling curriculum, you can input your child’s words and have those studied on Big IQ kids. From robot practice to a spelling bee, Big IQ Kids offer fun, interactive ways to learn to spell.

Next is the vocabulary section of the program. As your child studies the vocabulary words they will learn antonyms and synonyms as well. Each word is covered thoroughly and through the lessons, quizzes and tests, your child will quickly expand their vocabulary.

*A note on the vocabulary program – In the vocabulary section the lowest grade is third grade. So your youngest students would not utilize this portion of the program.

Then we have US Geography. This portion of the program will teach state location, spelling, capitals and basic state facts. It works your child toward mastery of these skills and ends with a “State Mastery Exam”.

As your child completes each of these areas, coins are earned. These coins are used on the game page.

This is the reward for all the hard work your child has done. From connect four to mouse trap to crazy taxi there are many games to choose from. Some games require one coins while others cost two. Having to “pay” to play is a built in time control for game play.

Free vs. Premium – which is right for me?

When you visit Big IQ Kids you will quickly see that there are two options: free or premium. Why would I want premium? Premium gives your more options; timed drills, progress reports*, automatic advancement upon mastery and review. However, maybe you aren’t sure this presentation is right for your child, then trying the free program and then upgrading to premium would be a wise choice. This video helps explain the benefits of premium:

*I really appreciate the emailed progress reports I received from Big IQ Kids. My children have utilized other online programs that left me in the dark as a parent and teacher on the progress of my child. Big IQ’s progress reports will let me know what words were misspelled, if she mastered in math and advanced or what vocabulary words gave her problems.

Personal Thoughts:

*At first glace I was a bit concerned about the “busyness” of the screen. It did not bother my girls at all. They have navigated through the programs with no issues.

*I love the customizable feature. My 7 year old is not a strong reader so I choose to change the preset spelling list to make it more attainable for her. I wanted to build her confidence and it has worked great.

*My 10 year old daughter loves the program. She is not a natural speller and has struggled to learn her math facts. She does her Big IQ every day and her excitement over reaching 100% in spelling or mastering at math is thrilling for me.

*I would recommend caution on the games. The first few times I helped in the selection of games and a few have been banned due to our family standards. My girls found a few that they really enjoy and mainly stick with those. They know to ask me before trying a new game we aren’t familiar with. I love that the coins limit the time on games so more time isn’t spent playing than learning.

Game coins can also be used for the custom “buddy” your child creates. This has been a favorite of my girls.

*Throughout the learning program, “Jake” is there to help. He explains what the child is to do. The sound is monotone and computerized but clear and understandable. It wasn’t a hindrance to the use of the program at all.

*Overall, I give this program the Burroughs’ Two Thumbs Up. It has worked well for two of my girls. It only takes a short period each day and it is re-enforcing basic skills of learning. You have to know your child and the learning approach that works best.

How much does this cost?

Pricing varies on if you want one program or all four. You can pay monthly or yearly. For pricing details, go here.

If you are still unsure, there are many free options you can try first and make sure the fit is right for you!

Want to know what others are saying? Head on over to the Crew and check it out!

The foundation of math is to master the basic math facts of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Memorizing such facts can be challenging for many students depending on their learning styles and abilities.

As a mom who has a couple of children who have struggled with mastering the basic facts, I was thrilled with the opportunity to review MathRider.

MathRider was created by parents who had children struggling to master the basic math facts and wanted to help them. Utilizing a highly sophisticated question engine, they were able to create a program that is not only engaging for children but highly effective.

In MathRider, your child, along with Shadow (horse) will journey through the land on various quests. There are four levels of quests for each math function: easy, medium, advanced and master. The quests may be retrieving a magical flower for your sick mother or returning gems to the Elven lands. The final quest is rescuing the Princess.

MathRider is wonderful in how it remembers facts that are weak spots for your child and will bring those up frequently to aid in mastery. Your child is only competing against himself. Instant feedback and positive reinforcement is given in each segment of the quests. If the wrong answer is entered, the child is given the correct answer and the problem shows up again.

As a parent, one excellent feature is being able to see your child’s progress and the weak areas. You can quickly check your child’s statistics and praise them for progress made and offer help for those weaker areas.

There are no difficult rules or weird instructions on how to play. All your child needs is the number keys and the enter button and she can complete the quests. There is the option to do “practice runs”. If your child wants or needs some extra practice, you can select what areas they need to work on in the practice run area. If your child is not a proficient reader that is not an issue with MathRider. The quest stories appear on screen but are narrated as well.

The Tribe’s Thoughts:

MathRider was an instant hit with my children. They loved the horse, the quests, the medieval feel of the game. They loved racing again themselves and trying to complete a quest as quickly as possible. “Can I play MathRider now?” is a constant request in our home. It has been amazing for one child who has struggled for years with math facts.

I love that MathRider is a multi-user game. When you purchase MathRider, you can add up to ten riders on a single license. Another great feature, and motivator for my children, is that you can view High Score stats for your users. My girls have a little friendly competition on who is in the top spots.

MathRider is great for the various needs in a family. Whether you have a child just beginning the basic facts or an older child who just needs some review, MathRider is a wonderful resource. I have enjoyed completing a quest or two myself. MathRider is probably best suited for ages 6-11; could vary depending on your child.

MathRider is an effective, fun tool that gets the Tribal Two Thumbs Up.

Memorizing the basic math facts of additon, subtraction, mulitplication and division builds a solid foundation for mathematics. Whether the child is doing higher math or adding up the groceries to stay in budget, that solid foundation is a key to success and ease. However, some children struggle to learn the basic facts. Maybe you have one of those children. No matter how many drill sheets he has completed, no matter how many times a day she uses flash cards; they just can’t remember.

We recently had the opportunity to use Times Alive – Instant Download Version from City Creek Press and it might be just what you have been looking for to help your child learn multiplication facts. It is based on the Times Tables the Fun Way book and with the instant download you can be using it today.

Times Alive tells a story about the multiplication fact and then follows up with a catchy song to aid in remembering the fact. There are quizzes and games along the way to review and check the child’s recalling of the facts. The child doesn’t have to complete a certain amount; he can stop and start at any point and Times Alive will remember where to begin during the next session.

Times Alive is an independent learning tool for the student but parents have access to a progress report so they can see where the child is and how they are doing on their. However, you will probably know how they are doing because the child will be singing catchy songs throughout the day.

Our experience:

*The instant download was simple and easy. I placed my order, followed the simple download instructions and we were using Times Alive that day.

*I had several children using Times Alive all at different levels of learning as far as math facts. From my oldest who is solid on her facts to a younger child who is just beginning to learn her multiplication facts.

*No age range is given for Times Alive but it seems to be better suited to elementary age due to presentation. However, older learners who have struggled with multiplication facts might find the songs help them to recall the facts quicker.

*Shockingly, of the four children I had use Times Alive, only one enjoyed it. My older girls felt it was silly and didn’t enjoy it at all. My youngest daughter found it confusing. I really thought that my youngest would enjoy the presentation.

*I didn’t like how they presented the x2′s. They tell the child to use their fingers to count by twos. The reason I would use this product would be to avoid that practice.

Clarification: While we enjoy our computers, they are not our chosen method to teach with. I think that our choice to not use computer based products to teach the basics might have predisposed my children to have issues with this program. I think that it is a worthwhile program and I was surprised at the response it received in my home.

Here is a Times Alive demo. This gives you an opportunity to see a movie, color a picture and a sample test. What a great way to see if Times Alive is what you have been looking for!

You can purchase Times Alive instant download for PC or Mac for $44.95 from City Creek Press.

For the past several weeks, two of my children have had the opportunity to utilize an online math program; Ten Marks.

www.tenmarks.com

Ten Marks is an online math program designed to help students learn, refresh and master their math concepts. The program and lessons are personalized to meet your child’s needs. You can choose from 3rd grade – 10th grade. Over 100 core standards are presented per grade; state standards for math are used to create a program to met your child’s mathematical needs.

How does Ten Marks do this? Once you have selected the grade your child will be working in, your child will sign in and have worksheets assigned to them. My 3rd grader was assigned 3 at a time and my 4th grader had 4 worksheets. A time frame of about a week is given to have them completed. If you child works quickly, they can “fast track” to the next set of worksheets before the deadline.

Each worksheet, consisting of 10 problems, covers one topic; this gives focused practiced for the student. If needed, a teaching video is available to watch that explains the focus of the worksheet. During the worksheet, if the student has some trouble they can request a hint to help them.

One unique feature of Ten Marks is the rewards. Ten Marks has built in rewards of games to play while logged in. As a set number of worksheets are completed, new games are made available for the student. Ten Marks also have a feature where the parent can go in and set up personalized rewards; from a trip to the ice cream store to a special movie night. Mastery certificates are available to print off to encourage your student as well.

Since Ten Marks is an independent program, a report card section is there to show your child’s progress, weak areas and how they are doing on each worksheet. It tells you their score and if they required hints to get the worksheet completed. Ten Marks also give you the ability to adjust the order of worksheets, combined in albums, to better suit your child’s abilities. Anytime your child needs reinforcement, practice worksheets are available at all times.

Ten Marks also has a lovely “pause” option for the program. Vacation? Illness? Unexpected interruption to your school calendar? You can choose to pause the program and not have worksheets piling up for your student.

Our Experience:

One issue of concern for me were the video lessons that “teach the concept”. I felt that often the videos were not clear in explaining the topic or covered it too quickly. Ten Marks says it can be used as a complete curriculum or a supplement. I feel, for us, it would be a supplement. The videos need to be more in-depth and thorough. Higher grades might be able to handle little instruction but 3rd and 4th graders need a bit more explanation.

Also, the “writing” on the videos was not always clean. I think the font could be much crisper and clearer; the size is small as well. Understandable as the “writing space” is limited but still an area of concern. The instructor also has an accent. I often heard three sounded like “tree”; not a big issue but something to be aware of. Since this is an independent program, I think the instructional videos are crucial and overall, I was not pleased. It would also be better if the instructor was visible on screen.

My daughter doing 3rd grade is a struggling reader so this was not an independent program for her. I had to sit with her to read the problems and any writing in the videos. This wasn’t a good fit for her due to those issues. The level of work was perfect for her; just not the presentation.

My son, 4th grade, has done well with Ten Marks. We have had some issues with him just guessing answers to get through quickly. He realized that wasn’t going to work as Ten Marks will have him re-do a worksheet if he misses too many. He really like the reward games. I set no personal rewards because that isn’t standard practice in our home for school work. One thing that would be great for the reward games is to be able to set a time limit on them. My son would take 5 minutes to do a worksheet (all correct) and then want to play a game for 30. Ten Marks being an independent program, being able to set time limits beforehand would be a great tool for parents.

For our family, the instruction/teaching of concepts was not strong enough with Ten Marks. Real, physical interaction during the teaching process is a crucial factor in our approach to learning. Ten Marks would not be our family’s choice for math instruction.

However, for those who find online/computer based learning a valid option, Ten Marks is a valuable resource for a student who needs re-enforcement, a refresher course or ongoing practice for math concepts. Parents can easily track progress and monitor weak areas. The worksheets provide sufficient practice and flexibility with time.

Ten Marks offers different subscription options (per student):

Monthly – only $10

6 months – $49

12 months – $89

If you want to learn more from Ten Marks about their program you can view videos here.

Maybe you want to try it out for yourself? You can see a partial worksheet for the grade you need.

Ten Marks even has a free trial available where you can utilize and see first hand the whole program.

In the classical education model, memorization is consider an essential during the grammar stage of learning. It provides the foundation for moving through the logic and rhetoric stages. Whether you follow the classical model or another method, memorization is a useful and powerful tool in learning.

Having several children at different stages of learning, and wanting to incorporate more of the classical method into our homeschool, I began to search for resources that would aid me in managing and selecting the information I wanted my children to memorize.

One resource that was mentioned time and time again for memorization was Living Memory by Andrew Campbell. I was intrigued by the high praises it was receiving and wanted to preview it for myself. Mr. Campbell was gracious enough to provide a copy for review.

Living Memory by Andrew Campbell available at www.lulu.com

I was expecting a lovely collection of various facts and a poem or two but Mr. Campbell provides so much more! Living Memory contains enough memory material for your student(s) from kindergarten to twelfth grade. I would not even limit the resource to those ages; it would be beneficial to any adult seeking to study classically.

Some of the most valuable content is in the beginning pages when Mr. Campbell shares about the importance of memorization and suggestions on how best to memorize. I love his discussion on our viewing memorization as foolish or impractical in this digital age. We are destroying our memory and losing such an amazing tool for learning. He shares reasons why memory work should return to education.

Mr. Campbell reminds us that memorization is not a complicated process. It is a skill that must be used and developed; some will master it easier than others. He offers advice on how to use listening, speaking, reading and writing as methods to aid and re-reinforce memorization.

One of the key points Mr. Campbell shares is that the goal is not to create a little parrot that can share information with no understanding. Choose memorization pieces that are relevant to your child and what they are learning. If you child is in 1st grade memorizing algebraic equations before basic math facts might not be the best idea.

After these pages of memorization tips and techniques, there are over 400 pages of memorization pieces. Mr. Campbell provides selections in Latin, Arithematic & Mathematics, Grammar & Composition, Literature, Religion, Geography, World History, United States History & Civics, and Natural Science. The material ranges from the simplest of selections such as counting to ten in Latin, basic addition facts, the seven continents and the first 13 colonies to those of more difficult range; writings of Cicero in Latin, algebraic equations, Grammar catechism, and the countries and capitals of Oceania. I believe the most challenging aspect of this book is where do I want to begin!

I highly recommend Living Memory. Whether you are a homeschooling mom, public school teacher or an involved parent, Living Memory is a valuable resource to have on hand. Mr. Campbell provides a wide range and depth of material that will meet the needs of any student.

Living Memory is available at LuLu.com for $22.46. A preview is available here. Click on the word “preview” under the book.

Thank you, Mr. Campbell for such an amazing resource for memorization.
